Iguazu Falls is a system of 275 waterfalls stretching nearly 3 kilometers along the border between Argentina and Brazil. The Devil's Throat, with its 80-meter drop, is the most impressive waterfall and one of the most breathtaking natural settings on the planet. Practical Info
Puerto Iguazú International Airport (IGR) receives flights from Buenos Aires (1h 45min). From the airport, Iguazú National Park is 25 km away. You can also arrive by bus from Buenos Aires (16-18 hours) or from Posadas.
The best time is from March to May and August to October, with pleasant temperatures and lower water flow that allows better appreciation of individual falls. From November to February, flow is at its maximum and the spectacle is more impressive, but heat and humidity are intense.
Subtropical climate without dry season. Very hot and humid summers (30-40°C). Mild winters (15-22°C). Frequent rainfall year-round.
Light and comfortable clothing, waterproof shoes with good traction, sunscreen, insect repellent, raincoat or poncho, cap or hat. Keep your camera in a waterproof bag for circuits close to the falls.
