Accessed from Puerto Natales (112 km), which has an airport with flights from Santiago. From El Calafate (Argentina), international buses cross the border (5-6 hours).

October to March is the best time, with longer days and milder temperatures (5-15°C). Wind is constant year-round but stronger in spring.

Subpolar oceanic climate, very changeable. You can experience all four seasons in a single day. Constant strong winds, frequent rain. Cool summers (5-15°C), cold winters (-5 to 3°C).

Waterproof and windproof clothing, thermal layers, waterproof trekking boots, poles, sunscreen, cap, gloves. Essential to be prepared for sudden weather changes.
